We are excited to announce that this week we began a Spanish Dance choreography course in collaboration with Eduardo Martinez, principal dancer with the Ballet Nacional de España (BNE). Eduardo has taught several master classes at the Conservatory in the past and most recently worked with our dancers who participated in the 2019 trip to Spain. Our High School and Advanced Spanish dancers will be learning his choreography Paseos de Ayer, with music by Joaquín Turina.
Marisol Moreno, Spanish Dance Department Head, will be teaching the course in-person and students will have access to live sessions and videos with Eduardo teaching the choreography and explaining the nuances of the piece. This Tuesday was their first class and they had the opportunity to share with Eduardo through Zoom, as he spoke about the choreography and his inspirations.

Con gran orgullo anunciamos que esta semana comenzamos un taller coreográfico en colaboración con Eduardo Martínez, primer bailarín del Ballet Nacional de España. Eduardo ha trabajado con nuestro departamento de danza española en el pasado, impartiendo clases magistrales en el Conservatorio. Trabajó más recientemente con nuestras bailarinas que participaron en el viaje
educacional a España en el 2019. Las bailarinas de High School y Nivel Avanzado trabajaran su
coreografía,

Marisol Moreno, directora del departamento de danza española, impartirá el taller en persona y las alumnas tendrán acceso a varias sesiones y videos con Eduardo enseñando la coreografía y explicando la sutilezas de la pieza. Este martes fue la primera clase y las alumnas tuvieron la oportunidad de compartir con Eduardo a través de Zoom mientras el les explicaba la coreografía y su inspiración.
