Florida Dance Association Young Dancer Workshop

The Senior Dance Mastery and invited CEC dancers traveled to Gainesville, Florida to attend the Florida Dance Association Young Dancers’ Workshop, held at the University of Florida and Santa Fe College campuses. Students spent the weekend in back-to-back classes and workshops in a variety of dance forms, including ballet, modern, Limón Technique, hip hop, West African, musical theater, and more!  Students watched three performances, including the Limón Dance Company. Dr. Daniel Lewis

September 20, 2019 – Master Class and Lecture Daniel Lewis, internationally-recognized dancer, teacher, choreographer and author, joined New World School of the Arts (NWSA) in Miami, Florida, in 1987, as founding Dean of Dance. Here, drawing from nearly three decades of experience in the field, Dr. Lewis created the dance division’s eight-year professional program. Juan Maria Seller

Juan Maria Seller is a Spanish choreographer, dancer, and teacher. He was formed in the disciplines of theater, dance-theater, ballet, modern and contemporary dance. Since 2005, based on his experience and knowledge, he has been developing a broad teaching method that is suitable for dancers with and without disabilities. For 87 years, Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts (CEC) has maintained their commitment to the development of young artists. CEC offers students exceptional technical and artistic training within a nurturing environment that allows them to develop into human beings with a deep understanding, appreciation, and respect for the Arts. Enrollment is open to the community and not limited to students from the Academy. Classes are also available for professionals and adults.
