CEC Music Students Perform in Vienna

Paloma Diaz and Felipe Diez, CEA class of 2021 and CEC music students, Perform in Vienna Congratulations to two of our CEA alumni and Conservatory music students, Paloma Diaz (violin) and Felipe Diez (clarinet and piano) who participated in the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna, Austria this summer. Paloma currently studies violin at CEC with Jose A. Guibert. Felipe studies clarinet at CEC with Norman Milanes and piano with Ileana Cortizo. During their time at CEA, they both formed part of the CEA Music Mastery and Conchita Espinosa Orchestra.

Fernanda Miranda – Chopin Foundation

Fernanda Miranda, CEA and CEC Class of 2015 Fernanda Miranda, CEA/CEC class of 2015, is currently a senior at Georgia State University College of the Arts. She began her piano training at CEC with Alina Gonzalez and Yirka Ledon. This summer, she was invited by the Chopin Society of Atlanta to participate and perform in the Chopin Academy Paris International Summer Session at Conservatoire de Vincennes and Chopin in Vienna week-long program for Atlanta and Musik21 students in cooperation with Gulda School of Music Vienna. Spanish Dancers Perform at FIU Spanish Conference

On September 25th, the Spanish dance department was invited back to perform as the official representatives of Spanish culture at the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain‘s Spanish Educators’ Conference, held at Florida International University. CEC is one of the few institutions to honor the four disciplinary traditions of Spanish dance: classical Spanish dance, Escuela Bolera, folklore, and flamenco, giving our dancers an appreciation of the richness of Spanish dance and the historical and geographical context for their area of study. For 87 years, Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts (CEC) has maintained their commitment to the development of young artists. CEC offers students exceptional technical and artistic training within a nurturing environment that allows them to develop into human beings with a deep understanding, appreciation, and respect for the Arts. Enrollment is open to the community and not limited to students from the Academy. Classes are also available for professionals and adults.
