Dance Intensive

Led by Danella Bedford and Marisol Moreno, the CEC Dance Intensive is designed to strengthen students’ dance technique, artistry, and creative capabilities, as they challenge themselves to think outside the box through a summer-long project integrating different forms of dance.  All dancers will have the opportunity to participate in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and Spanish dance technique classes, including Spanish dance work with castanets, fans, bata de cola, and mantón (shawl).  Students will be placed in groups according to age and level, as determined by their teachers and will participate in a variety of different dance, choreography, and performance-related classes. There will be a performance at the end of the summer session.
