Piano
Claudia Monteagudo Rodriguez, a native of Cuba, began her piano studies in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba at the age of eight at the “Ernesto Lecuona” Conservatory of Music. She continued her music studies at the “Alejandro García Caturla” Conservatory of Music in Havana, where she was valedictorian of her class and graduated with concentrations in piano, choral direction, and music theory. Ms. Monteagudo Rodriguez continued her studies at the Escuela Nacional de Arte (ENA), where she later went on to form part of the faculty for flute, bassoon, oboe, violin, and percussion.
Ms. Monteagudo Rodriguez formed an international career as a musician and educator in Veracruz, Mexico working with symphony orchestras and youth choirs, including as Assistant Orchestra Director of a youth orchestra. Ms. Monteagudo Rodriguez continues to be a passionate educator who works to develop both the musicality and character of the students she works with. She is a firm believer in the power of music to transform young lives as students grow in their love of music and collaboration. Ms. Monteagudo Rodriguez has been on the piano faculty at Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts since 2024.
