Theatre
Alison Elliott is originally from Los Angeles. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master’s Degree in Theatre Education from the University of Northern Colorado, where she has also taught theater and directing. In 2011, Ms. Elliott taught theatre at the Conchita Espinosa Theatre Summer Intensive. From 2013 to 2014, she taught theatre at the Mirman School in Los Angeles, where she was Assistant Director for all school plays. In 2018, Ms. Elliott worked as a teaching artist and program coordinator at Mirror Image Arts. She taught in their after-school theatre program and facilitated workshops for bullying prevention. From 2014 to 2016, Ms. Elliott worked as a professional actress and teaching artist for A Noise Within Theater. Her credits include, Six Characters in Search of An Author, Tartuffe, The Tempest, A Flea in Her Ear, among others. As an educator, she created an eight-week curriculum of acting techniques, as well as presented improvisational exercises for performance. Ms. Elliott has years of experience as an educator and artist and brings to her classroom integrity and a sincere understanding of the value of the student’s voice.
