Visual Arts Show – Encantos de Nuestras Raices

On April 12th, CEA/CEC transformed into a spectacular art gallery, thanks to Ms. Vazquez’ endlessly creative vision, dedication, and hard work, and our students impressive work and talent! All CEA students and CEC art students had at least one piece on display. Encantos de Nuestras Raíces was a magical celebration of Hispanic cultures through student art. Christmas in the Gardens

Presented by Miami Dance Futures, Christmas in the Gardens is a celebration of the holiday season through dance and music by the young artists from Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts. The show featured The Snowman, an original story ballet inspired by the beloved English story choreographed by Danella Bedford, Navidades Flamencas, choreographed by Marisol Moreno and Cristina Masdueño,  as well as ballet variations, contemporary dance choreographies, and musical and choral pieces. Dance Students Attend Florida Dance Association’s Young Dancer Workshop

Senior Dance Mastery and select CEC students attended the Florida Dance Association’s Young Dancers’ Workshop at the University of Florida and Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida. The Young Dancers’ Workshop brings middle and high school dancers from across the state for a weekend of intensive workshops in various dance styles and two evenings of performances (by audition). Lisset Ledon Wins NWSA Concerto Competition

Lisset Iglesias Ledon, CEA Class of 2020 and CEC Student Wins Concerto Competition Congratulations to Lisset Iglesias Ledon, CEA class of 2020 and CEC voice student, for winning the 2024 NWSA Concerto Competition! Lisset, who began her music and voice studies at CEA and CEC through CEA’s Voice and Theatre Masteries and Conservatory Vocal Program, is currently in her freshman year at New World School of the Arts College Division for Vocal Studies. For over 92 years, Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts (CEC) has maintained their commitment to the development of young artists. CEC offers students exceptional technical and artistic training within a nurturing environment that allows them to develop into human beings with a deep understanding, appreciation, and respect for the Arts. Enrollment is open to the community and not limited to students from the Academy. Classes are also available for professionals and adults.
